After his criticism of Jorge Macri, Larreta now hits out at PRO: "It is still not clear what it is, is he with Milei?"

Following harsh criticism of Jorge Macri for his management of the City, former Buenos Aires City Mayor Horacio Rodríguez Larreta on Wednesday pointed out the questions to the PRO, warning that "it is not clear what it is" and whether it was co-opted by Javier Milei.
The former presidential candidate also tried his hand at self-criticism for his setback in the internal elections with Patricia Bullrich and confirmed that, despite being a member of the party founded by Mauricio Macri, he could compete outside if that space does not once again represent "original values."
" It is still not clear what the PRO is. Is the PRO with Milei? Today I don't know where the PRO is," Rodríguez Larreta said when asked in an interview with A24 if he planned to compete within that party or outside it.
And along those lines, he pointed out: " If the PRO is not in the original values, I will not be there, I do not believe in that . Today it is not in those values."
He also slipped in another criticism by pointing out that he " did not agree with handing over the PRO to Milei ."

Rodríguez Larreta says that, unlike how he managed his entire political career, he has nothing planned now. He said this to show that he has not yet defined possible political alliances with other spaces, amid reports of talks with the UCR and the Civic Coalition.
"We are not talking about it today (with the UCR)," he said about the conversations with that party, and specifically about the space founded by Elisa Carrió, he stressed: "I have a good dialogue but yesterday they said they are going alone."
In various passages of the interview, Rodríguez Larreta insisted on self-criticism for his electoral defeat. In addition to appealing to recurrent football metaphors, he considered that by prioritizing "the political structure" he had distanced himself from the people.
"My campaign was a photo album with politicians. Look where I am, and there is another one who is in the Rosada. I am not going to repeat the same thing. The most important thing for me is not the political structure, because it was the most important thing and I distanced myself from the people who were what I did," he stressed.
